Happy Birthday

It’s my birthday and Independence Day!  This water marble MANicure is a present from my Husband, Mr. FLBN, who actually did my nails!  Mr. FLBN, an artist & hobby painter himself, was watching a youtube video of guitars being water marbled in 80’s colors and wanted to give it a try in red, white & blue. I have the greatest husband ever! Seriously.

Cleanup took over 2 hours, you can see why!

Sun of a Peach

I took inspiration from the polish name for this design.  Sun of a Peach, which seemed much brighter in person, with a topcoat of flakies.  Nuclear Energy in purple with a peach on top.

High score 6-3-13!  Time to clear the jelly! Based on the app Candy Crush, it’s free and addictive.  I made:  the scoreboard, glitter nail, path to the next level, magic red bean & orange candy, and that crying heart because there are no lives left, oh I don’t like him.  No, I”m purchase more lives, Heart, I’ll paint my nails while waiting! 😀

Bazaar

I fought to get a decent shot of this mani.  It was so shiny and pretty in person but in the pictures, the flake topcoat looked more like the surface of the moon.  Anyone else encounter something like that?

This is loosely based on the children’s book, Make Way for Ducklings by Robert McCloskey. A story about a family of mallards who live in the Boston Public Garden, lucky ducks!
